CTE Technical Assistance Center (CTE TAC)
Operated by the Successful Practices Network (SPN) through a Perkins-funded contract with the NYSED, the CTE TAC increases the capacity of the NYSED to serve, support, and expand CTE across the state. In supporting the NYSED CTE Perkins V State Plan priorities, the CTE TAC:
- provides services to high need/underperforming districts, BOCES, and postsecondary institutions,
- assists districts/BOCES/postsecondary institutions as they improve equity in and access to CTE with an emphasis on special populations,
- assists districts with data collection, analysis, and reporting, particularly as it relates to the Perkins Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment (CLNA),
- assists in building and leveraging regional collaborative efforts among secondary and postsecondary CTE programs with business and industry, and
- provides professional development to reduce performance gaps with a focus on at-risk students.
The services of the CTE TAC are provided at no cost to schools.
