Administering State Assessments

- The online requesting systems for the 2024 Grades 3-8 English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics Tests and the Elementary-level (Grade 5) and Intermediate-level (Grade 8) Science Tests are now open. Please see the following documents:

As detailed in the Statewide Implementation of Computer-Based Testing memorandum, students in Grades 5 and 8 will be required to take the 2024 operational ELA, mathematics, and science tests by computer-based testing (CBT). Other grade levels may also participate in CBT, but paper-based testing will still be available for these students.

Online requests may be submitted at https://portal.nysed.gov/abp. The system closes November 10, 2023.
