Required Actions
Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI) model:
Schools that are part of the Comprehensive Support and Improvement model must complete the following actions:
- Complete the NYSED School Needs Assessment led by a team of stakeholders from the school.
- Develop a School Comprehensive Education Plan (SCEP) based on the Needs Assessment that is submitted to NYSED for approval.
- Participate in support organized through NYSED.
Schools in the CSI model are also eligible to participate in NYSED's Supplemental Support Programs.

Additional Targeted Support and Improvement (ATSI) model

Targeted Support and Improvement (TSI) model
Schools that are part of the Additional Targeted Support and Improvement model or the Targeted Support and Improvement model must complete the following actions:
- Complete the NYSED School Needs Assessment led by a team of stakeholders from the school.
- Develop a School Comprehensive Education Plan (SCEP) based on the Needs Assessment that is submitted to NYSED for approval.
- Participate in support organized through the district and/or BOCES.

Schools in the ATSI model are also eligible to participate in NYSED's Supplemental Support Programs.
Target District Required Actions
Target Districts must complete the following actions:
- Support schools in the CSI, ATSI, and TSI support models develop, implement, and monitor their SCEPs.
- Complete the NYSED District Needs Assessment led by a team of district-level and school-level staff.
- Develop a District Comprehensive Improvement Plan (DCIP) based on the Needs Assessment that is submitted to NYSED.
