Charter School Office Portal Help Guides

The Charter School Office (CSO) is in the process of transitioning applications from Survey Monkey Apply (CSO Portal) to the NYSED Application Business Portal.  We are happy to announce that as part of the first phase of this rollout, on June 16, 2025, the "Add a Board of Trustees (BOT) Member" application will be available in NYSED Business Portal. Therefore, as of June 16, 2025, all new applications for adding a Board of Trustees member must be completed and submitted using the NYSED Application Business Portal; however, any BOT applications in progress or submitted, but not yet approved, in the CSO Portal prior to June 16, 2025, will be finalized there. As we launch each new application in the NYSED Business Portal, we will provide schools with an email notification and application-specific portal instructions and guidance. To help with the transition, the CSO will offer a schedule of "office hours" during which technical and/or application-specific guidance will be provided through Microsoft Teams sessions. Please watch your email for specific days and times. You may also schedule an appointment outside of the scheduled office hours or email Michael McPherson or your CSO liaison, as needed.
