School Library Services

School libraries play a vital role toward instructing students in the New York State Learning Standards. Commissioner’s Regulations require all schools to establish and maintain a school library that adequately complements the school’s curriculum.

Library Media Specialists use school libraries to design engaging learning experiences that promote the location, verification, and use of information presented across media formats.

School libraries are an essential component to ensuring every student has the tools they need to succeed.
