Summit Dates

The Board of Regents and the State Education Department have convened two of three Digital Equity Summits to establish a shared understanding of digital inequity in the state and create a joint vision for achieving digital equity. The first two summits included presentations by national speakers and breakout discussions. Participants took part in facilitated small group discussions, sharing their ideas, expertise and experiences. The third and final summit will include panel presentations and breakout discussions.

Recordings of the live-streamed portions of the first two summits are available. Breakout sessions were not recorded.

The Digital Equity Summits are supported in part with federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act funds allocated to the New York State Library by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS). The Summits are presented in partnership with WestEd, the Northeast and Islands Regional Comprehensive Laboratories, and the National Digital Inclusion Alliance.
