Medicaid 101: SSHSP Fundamentals & Documentation Requirements

Consistent with the New York State (NYS) Compliance Agreement with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), New York State is providing Preschool/School Supportive Health Services Program (SSHSP) training for relevant employees. This training will review Program Fundamentals, Medicaid SSHSP History, Compliance and Oversight, and Reimbursement Methodology and Billing Requirements. The training is approximately 2 hours. It is recommended for direct service providers, supervisors of direct service providers, compliance officers, and school district and county administrative staff responsible for overseeing or conducting the claiming process. It is presented at an introductory level that is appropriate for new staff. Participants who require a reasonable accommodation must submit a reasonable accommodation request form to the Office of Diversity at OHRMRA@nysed.gov.
