Statewide Elementary Math Tournament Coming Spring 2023
As part of the Expanded Math Access Program, a Statewide Elementary Math Tournament for students in grades 1-5 will be held in Spring 2023. The Statewide Elementary Math Tournament will include virtual Regional Contests and an in-person Statewide Event.
Every NYS student in grades 1-5 that is enrolled in the First In Math program is eligible to compete in the online Regional Contest. Winners of the 10 regional contests will advance to compete in the Statewide Event. The virtual Regional Contests will be held during school hours on Thursday, March 30th, 2023. The Statewide in-person Event is scheduled to be held on Saturday, May 20th, 2023 at SUNY Albany.
The First in Math program is free for all (public, BOCES, charter, religious, independent) New York State schools and programs serving students in grades K-5.
