Regaining Access to your NYSED SFTP account with a Password Reset

Please follow these steps to regain access to your account:

  1. Please go to https://sedftm.nysed.gov/webclient/Login.xhtml.
  2. Click on the "Forgot Password?" link below the Login button.
    1. Enter your username.
    2. Enter the characters from the image.
    3. Click on the Submit button above where you entered your user name.

You will receive an email from SED File Transfer Manager <GoAnywhere@nysed.gov> with a secure link to create a new password. Click on the link in the email and it will open a secure GoAnywhere page to enter in your new password for your account.

Password Requirements:

Minimum Password Length is 8

Minimum Number of Upper Case Letters is 1

Minimum Number of Lower Case Letters is 1

Minimum Number of Digits is 1

Minimum Number of Special Characters is None

Allowable Special Characters are ~@#$%^&*()-_=+<>?/\;:[]{},.

After you have created a new password, you can now go to https://sedftm.nysed.gov/webclient/Login.xhtml again to login and access the project folder that you want to upload a file into and/or download a file from depending on the business needs of the project folder.

  • If you are not a customer for the NYSED Office of Information and Reporting Services and you do not remember the username that you entered when you created your account, you should email your NYSED program office contact that you are sharing files with to request your account username.

     
  • Customers for the NYSED Office of Information and Reporting Services should click on the Help button on the bottom right of this support article and mention SFTP along with your request for your username in the body of the email to submit to the Datasupport help desk system for faster ticket assignment and response.
