Statement from Board of Regents Chancellor Betty A. Rosa on DACA

Along with Native Americans who emigrated centuries ago and those people who were brought to this land against their will to serve as slaves, American society consists of immigrants and descendants of immigrants from all over the world.  Those children and young adults who are currently under the protection of the DACA executive order have already contributed positively to the American way of life and have vast potential for future contributions that may surpass all expectations.  We need to see our elected leaders at all levels of government do the right thing and strengthen the fabric of our country, not tear it apart.
