Office of Innovation and School Reform

As part of the New York State Education Department (NYSED) Office of Innovation and School Reform’s (OISR’s) performance management and reporting framework, districts are required to submit quarterly progress reports. These reports are essential for tracking progress towards the Demonstrable Improvement Indicator (DII) targets and ensuring that data is used effectively to monitor, adjust, and refine the implementation of improvement plans. The information you provide will help the school and district community, the Commissioner, and the Board of Regents assess the extent of progress and the successful application of lead strategies.
Attached is the 2025–2026 Receivership School Quarterly Report #2 template, which schools must use to document and reflect on their progress during the period of October 31, 2025, to January 30, 2026. The template is designed to capture key trend data and evidence of the impact of strategies being implemented to achieve DII targets. Thorough, accurate, and reflective reporting is essential to ensure progress is clearly documented and informs decisions made during the improvement process. The deadline for submitting the Quarter 2 Report is January 30, 2026.
Please submit your Quarterly Report to OISR@nysed.gov and copy your district’s OISR Associate. Should you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to reach out to your OISR Associate or email us directly at OISR@nysed.gov.
Thank you for your continued partnership and commitment to improving educational outcomes for our students. Together, we can ensure that all students have access to the support and learning opportunities they need to thrive.
