Adobe Wizard for PDF Files

This Adobe Wizard can batch process large numbers of PDF files to make them meet NYSED’s minimum accessibility requirements or to expedite making the documents fully accessible. This wizard will perform the following operations:

  • Add tags to a PDF file
  • Set document properties: Title (required), keywords, subject and author (required and always set to “New York State Education Department” unless the document was authored by an outside individual or organization). Subject and keywords are recommended but not required – although with the wizard it probably makes sense to add them since it’s easy to batch this into the process.
  • Set document language (wizard currently configured to set language to English, but this can be changed as needed)
