AMTS and MST Grants Launched

June 25, 2025

ORISS is excited to present the launch of the following grant cycles:

AMTS Y2 AND MST Y8 Teacher Salary Reimbursement Grants

The guidance and resource documents below will walk you/your team through each step of the process.  All documents are available on our Funding Opportunities website.

Resources & Descriptions

  • Solicitation Notice
  • A NYSED memo announcing the commencement of the AMTS Y2 and MST Y8 grant cycles.
  • Guidance Document
  • Addresses the “Who” “What” and “Where” questions:
  • Who is eligible for the reimbursement funds?
  • What (generally) is needed to complete a claim?
  • Where should an institution “go” to start a claim?
  • When the claim submission is due?
  • (Portal) Application Instructions
  • Breaks down each step of the application process.
  • Addresses the “How” questions:
  • How to access the application portal? Or add/change a user?
  • How are allocations calculated?
  • How do I upload my documents? Or troubleshoot other common issues?
  • How do I submit my completed application? And how do I know it was received?
  • How will I be reimbursed?
  • Non-Portal Application
  • While we highly recommend submitting via NYSED Business Portal, this “paper” application may be completed in lieu of the portal application and be submitted via email.
  • Grant Attestation
  • Serves as a declaration, confirming the truthfulness and accuracy of information provided in a grant application and to the grant's terms and conditions. The attestation signature ensures compliance with grant requirements and promote accountability in the use of awarded funds.
  • Master Schedule Resource
  • In an ongoing effort to address communication gaps and enhance efficiency in our grant review process, we’ve created a Master Schedule Resource Tool.
  • This Master Schedule Resource Tool will walk schools through a self-assessment to determine which category most closely represents their school’s Master Schedule type.
  • The document:
  • Identifies Master Schedule category
  • Describes key attributes for each type
  • Illustrates common examples
  • Documentary Evidence
  • Addresses each of the required documents, noting format conditions as needed.
  • Previously Approved/Anticipated Subjects
  • Addresses the finite detail on which subject titles we have 1) previously approved for the MST program and 2) anticipate acceptance for the AMTS grant.
  • Please be aware that subject/course names do not receive blanket approval.  Every curriculum will be reviewed for eligibility.
  • FAQ
  • These are real questions and real answers.  It’s a sneak peek into the grant’s inbox.
  • So that we can learn from our colleagues, we’ll update this resource periodically during the application period.
