Statement From Commissioner Betty A. Rosa on Appointment of Blake G. Washington as New York State Budget Director
Philip Fields promoted to Secretary of Assembly Ways and Means
Matthew Golden appointed as Assembly Director of Budget Studies
On behalf of the New York State Board of Regents and State Education Department, I want to congratulate Blake G. Washington on his appointment as Director of the Division of Budget. We are happy to see someone with more than 20 years of New York State budget experience now being elevated to such an important position.
I would also like to congratulate Philip Fields, on behalf of the Board of the Regents and the Department, on his promotion to the position of Secretary to the New York State Assembly Ways and Means Committee. We know Fields will do well in his new role, having more than 30 years of experience working in the Assembly.
We also congratulate Matthew Golden on his appointment to Assembly director of Budget Studies. It’s wonderful to see someone with such extensive Education, Higher Education, and Libraries budget experience being elevated.
