James I. O'Neill High School Supports Military Connected Students

In celebration of April being the Month of the Military Child, James I O’Neill High School in Highland Falls, NY coordinated several activities to support their military connected students.  A bulletin board was created by our faculty and students to highlight the various locations that our students have lived throughout their lives.  Students were invited to “Pin” where they lived on a world map and to share information and pictures of their favorite destination that they have lived in as a military family.  For every Friday in the month of April, students were encouraged to dress up, whether it was wearing an item from any military branch or from our local West Point base, Red/White and Blue or Army green/camouflage.  The main event was held on Friday, April 23rd.  On this “Purple-Up” day, students were asked to wear purple and during lunch, our Student to Student (S2S) club distributed red, white and blue ice pops to the student body to show support and celebrate our military student body.
