NYS World Language ReVision for Proficiency - January 27, 2020 - Stuyvesant HS (NYC)

The Office of Bilingual Education and World Languages of the New York State Education Department in collaboration with Queens College, the NYC DOE Division of Multilingual Learners, the New York State Association of Foreign Language Teachers (NYSAFLT), and the New York State Association of World Language Administrators (NYSAWLA) presented a conference for NYC World Language teachers entitled:  NYS World Language ReVision for Proficiency.

This one-day professional learning conference was held on Monday, January 27, 2020 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Stuyvesant High School (345 Chambers Street, New York, NY  10282).  At this event, we explored the major shifts in world language curriculum, assessment, and instruction in NYS.  Mr. Matt Coss presented a keynote address entitled "A Win-Win-Win:  Harnessing the Power of the Image in the World Language Classroom."
