Federal Education COVID Response Funding

Since March 2020, New York State has been awarded over $14 billion in federal education COVID response funding through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act; Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2021 (CRRSA Act); and the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act. These funds are supporting the ability of local educational agencies (LEAs) to address the impact that Novel Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) has had, and continues to have, on elementary and secondary schools in New York State.
