Office/Bureau Description: 

Established in 1818, the New York State Library is one of the oldest and the largest state libraries in the nation. NYSL is the only state library to qualify for membership in the Association of Research Libraries.  The State Library is a modern public research facility for the government, people and libraries of the State.

The Assignment (Description of Job): 

The student inter will work primarily to ensure access to online New York State government information.  Duties may include: harvesting of electronic publications, managing electronic receipts and printed products, scanning publications and generating metadata.  This position is 20 hours per week, starting September 2017 with flexible scheduling Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. 

Intern Development Plan : 

Students may be invited to participate in project development and professional meetings based on their initiative and leadership skills.
