The Hines and Sanford Families' Recognition Award

The Hines and Sanford Families’ Recognition Award for Study and Research in The African Experience in New York State, the Americas, and the Diaspora will provide for the annual recognition of a school/district P-12 educator who has made outstanding contributions to New York State education in presenting and interpreting African and African Diaspora history and culture. This award provides for travel reimbursement to attend a meeting of the Board of Regents in Albany, New York. Funding for the recognition and reimbursement is made possible by a gift from Adelaide L. Hines Sanford, Vice Chancellor Emerita, New York State Board of Regents, University of the State of New York.
